Getting Through
‘Getting Through’ is the title of Yew Tree’s upcoming pair of solo shows. And is about to go on tour!
We have two, twenty five minute performances about what it can be like growing up in Wakefield
These were funded by Arts Council England, who commissioned Yew Tree to research and write the pieces.
On the 1st July the 2 shows, written and directed by Sarah Osborne were premiered at a special launch event at Cathedral School, Wakefield’s School of the performing Arts. This was a fantastic event, and we would like to thank all those who contributed towards to success of the night, and also for the positive feedback and insights about the pieces.
‘Getting Through’ is now in the final stages of preparation for its tour of 11 schools across the Wakefield district, as commissioned by Healthy School to promote their new initiative of getting young people to think about risk and resilience.
